Belluno, INPS short of staff the Provincial Committee: services are at risk

BELLUNO. The shortage of personnel in the provincial offices of the INPS has reached such dramatic levels that the provincial INPS committee made up of trade associations and trade unions wrote to the top of the national and provincial social security institute to ask for action as soon as possible. The committee unanimously voted on an agenda to ask the competent bodies for an immediate solution to the problem: the activity of the institute itself is at risk.

The provincial headquarters of the INPS is made up of the provincial administration, the medical-legal center and the two territorial agencies of Feltre and Pieve di Cadore and an INPS point in Agordo. “The set of operational offices are located in economic and social districts of important territorial importance also for the morphology of the territory”, explains Valerio Zannin, president of the provincial committee of the institute, who underlines how over the years he has registered in Belluno ” a constant and continuous flow of staff retirements that have only been partially replaced ».

Zannin points out that from the organization charts of the 2019 institution, the staff in service at the Belluno INPS numbered 90, but from 1 January 2022 the staffing capacity has dropped to 65. “And as if that weren’t enough, a further seven exits are planned by retirement later this year, so he will ultimately remain with an overall headcount of 58 people. This means “, continues the trade unionist,” that in four years, from 2019 to 2022, the staff has been reduced by 32 units, net of the insertion of eight new hires “.

Added to this is that from 1 January of this year the provincial office of Belluno constitutes, in the Veneto, the specialist center for the provinces of Belluno, Treviso and Venice for the management of all the hundreds of thousands of pension benefits under international agreements. , without then considering that “the current organizational reorganization coincides with the emergency phase of the pandemic which has inevitably marked the organization of the body also in light of the recent innovations introduced by the legislator to strengthen the welfare state model”, says Zannin who therefore raises the alarm: “It is necessary to intervene quickly on politics and on the government with initiatives and proposals that aim to meet the real staffing needs of the provincial management of the Belluno INPS and necessary to guarantee the rapid delivery of the services assigned by the law at the institute. This is also important for the disposal of the backlog accumulated in some areas precisely due to the lack of administrative, medical, legal, technical and inspection staff ».

The provincial committee of INPS, therefore, asks whoever is responsible to intervene also to always organize in a short time “a correct management and fair territorial distribution of the personnel serving the INPS”, concludes Zannin thanking “all the staff of the provincial management for the spirit of service and total dedication to the comterritorial unity and for the high social sensitivity shown towards users during the difficult period of the pandemic ».
