Biomethane plant, San Benigno opposes

The City Council approved an agenda. It is not compatible with an already compromised territory

San Benigno says yet another no to the construction on its territory of a Biomethane production plant through anaerobic digestion of the organic fraction of urban solid waste (Forsu), proposed by Canavese Green Energy.

The City Council last November 18 approved a new agenda relating to the project. Already in September 2020 and July 2021 he had expressed his opposition to the plant that should be built in the industrial area and in recent months also the municipal councils of Volpiano, Bosconero, Brandizzo, Montanaro, Foglizzo, Chivasso and Brandizzo and Lombardore voted a order of the counter in which a negative opinion was declared.
