Brussels again shocked by shooting: “Several shots fired” (Anderlecht)

Anderlecht –

Another shooting took place in Brussels on the night from Friday to Saturday. Several shots were reportedly fired at the intersection of Doverstraat and Scheutveldstraat in Anderlecht. No injuries were reported and no suspect has yet been arrested.

Brussels has been under the spell of several shootings between drug gangs for a whole week. The first incident took place in the Marolles on Sunday and there was even a fatality on Wednesday night. Another shooting took place on the night from Friday to Saturday around 2 am. This time in Anderlecht, at the intersection of Doverstraat and Scheutveldstraat.

“We can confirm that several shots were fired. There have been no casualties and we have not yet been able to arrest a suspect,” said the South police zone. “Some bullet casings were also found at the location where the shots were fired. They were of a small caliber. At this time, the investigation is ongoing and we cannot release any additional information.”
