BOLOGNA Fatal accident this morning, around 10.15 at Campovolo in Reggio Emilia. Two paratroopers, 54 and 35, lost their lives when they fell to the ground from a height of about fifty meters.

Fabrizio Del Giudice (Turin but resident in Milan) and Gabriele Grossi (Viareggio), these are the names of the victims, took part in the demonstration organized by the Body Fly University – according to Reggionline reports – with about 300 paratroopers involved: for the occasion it was hired a special twin-engine Skyvan, which carries 25 people at a time, was trying to set the record for hitching up Reggio, that is, the largest number of people who dock together in flight.

Usually parachute jumps involve the formation of a formation around 1,200 meters, then at a height of 900 meters the parachutists separate, continuing their descent individually, in a defined open flight mode, until they touch the ground.

The demonstration was obviously suspended.
