China’s Dr. Ali is making a huge impact in African countries as part of China’s aid efforts. Dr. Huang Weirong, a chief physician of the Department of Gynecology at the People’s Hospital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, recently shared his experiences working in the medical field during his two-year foreign aid medical work in Moheli Island, Comoros.
Dr. Huang Weirong, also known as “Dr. Ali” in Comoros, has made a difference in the local community by providing medical assistance and welcoming new lives. His work has not only saved lives but has also strengthened the bond between China and Africa.
During his time in Comoros, Dr. Huang Weirong performed numerous surgeries and delivered over 160 babies, while also providing training and education to local medical staff. He was instrumental in establishing vital medical mechanisms that continue to operate successfully even after his departure.
Dr. Huang Weirong’s dedication and efforts have contributed to China’s long-standing commitment to dispatching foreign medical teams to African countries. Guangxi alone has sent 15 batches of medical teams to Comoros, providing crucial medical services to millions of local patients and training thousands of local medical personnel.
Despite the challenges, Dr. Huang Weirong remains dedicated to his mission of providing medical aid and strengthening the friendship between China and Africa. As the 15th batch of China (Guangxi) medical team takes over the foreign medical aid in Comoros, Dr. Huang Weirong’s impact and legacy continue to resonate in the local community.
