The regulations are in force from 10 to 22 on Saturdays, Sundays and other public holidays in the following streets of the city center: via Torino, via Orti, viale Matteotti, viale Vittorio Veneto, viale Cavour, via Paolo Regis, via Cosola and via Siccardi
CHIVASSO
Chivasso also aligns itself with the Municipalities that in this period are imposing the mask outdoors. With the trend of the epidemic curve and to prevent new infections, even in the city until January 15 there is an ordinance that obliges you to wear protective filter masks in open places where a greater presence of people is assumed.
“The decision is motivated – is the summary of the ordinance – by the belief that the approach of the Christmas holidays and the presence of related events will lead to an increase in the presence of people in the streets, squares and city streets and therefore the possibility of contagion will increase “
It is clear that on the occasion of the holidays there will be a risk of potential gatherings in the historic center with difficulty in guaranteeing interpersonal distancing.
«Specifically – reads the ordinance – respiratory protection devices are mandatory in markets, in free trade areas and in every public area of the city that determines aggregation. In the latter case, the reference is, for example, to the vicinity of public transport stops, clubs, parties or other events “.
It is pointed out that “the prescriptions are in force from 10 to 22 on Saturdays, Sundays and other public holidays in the following streets of the city center: via Torino, via Orti, viale Matteotti, viale Vittorio Veneto, viale Cavour, via Paolo Regis, via Cosola and via Siccardi ». Children under the age of 6 are exempted from the obligations of the ordinance, those who are playing sports (as long as they maintain the required interpersonal distance with other people), those with pathologies or disabilities incompatible with the use of the mask, people who have to communicate with a disabled person so that they cannot use the device.
The penalties for offenders range from 400 to 3 thousand euros. Councilor Claudio Moretti explains why this decision was taken: «It will take another two weeks to find out how Omicron behaves with respect to vaccines and we must protect those who did not want or could not vaccinate. We are facing a difficult enemy. We are learning. We are doing our best to guarantee health and the economy. ”Basically, the line prevails in Chivasso:“ Health first ”.
