Third consecutive daily communication with more than 2,000 positives. There are 2,008 new cases of Covid-19 infection, compared to 12,742 tests carried out according to the data released in the bulletin of March 27. The percentage of positive swabs on those carried out – including control ones – is 15.76 percent, half a point higher than last week.
The infected today are divided as follows: 820 in the province of Bari, 147 in the province of Brindisi, 165 in the province of Bat, 233 in the province of Foggia, 236 in the province of Lecce, 400 in the province of Taranto, 2 cases of residents outside the region and 5 cases of unknown province of residence.
There are 32 deaths recorded in the last communication (11 in the province of Bari, 3 in the province of Brindisi, 4 in the province of Bat, 2 in the province of Foggia, 2 in the province of Lecce, 10 in the province of Taranto) which bring the total of victims to 4,679. While with 1,135 healed more than yesterday’s communications, the negativized reach 136,633.
With these figures, the currently positive (total cases less deaths and healed) rise to 45,637. Of these, 2,005 are in hospital: since the beginning of the pandemic this is the highest number of hospitalized people excluding the peak of 23 March.
