There are 16,632 Covid test positives identified in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 17,030. Instead, there are 75 victims in one day, yesterday there were 74 for a total of 134,152 victims since the beginning of the epidemic.
There are 636,592 Molecular and antigenic swabs for the coronavirus, yesterday they were 588,445. The positivity rate is 2.6%, down from 2.9% yesterday. On the other hand, there are 732 patients in intensive care in Italy, 24 more than yesterday in the balance between entries and exits. Daily admissions are 59. Patients with symptoms in ordinary wards are 5,428, or 43 more than yesterday.
At the territorial level, the regions with the highest number of infections are Lombardy (2,990), Veneto (2,560), Lazio (1,832), Emilia Romagna (+1,610) and Campania (+1,216). Total infections in Italy since the beginning of the pandemic are 5,094,072. The healed are 8,988 (yesterday 9,658) for a total of 4,736,202. The number of currently positives is still rising, 7,564 more (yesterday +7,283) reaching 223,718. Of these, 217,558 patients are in home isolation.
VALLE D’AOSTA
No new deaths and 67 new positive cases at Covid 19 in Valle D’Aosta which bring the total number of people infected by the virus since the beginning of the epidemic to 13,436. The current positive cases are 741 of which 717 in home isolation, 22 hospitalized, two intensive care. The cases tested are a total of 98,418, the swabs carried out to date are 296,030. The total healed are 12,215, + 47 compared to yesterday. The deaths of people who have tested positive for the virus since the beginning of the emergency are 480.
TRENTINO
In Trentino today no deaths, but a new surge in infections from Covid: 200 intercepted by 10,670 swabs. The hospital situation is stable: 58 people hospitalized, of which 8 in intensive care. Yesterday 9 new entries and 11 resignations were registered. On the other hand, 25 classes are in quarantine. Among the new positive cases, 64 concern the 0-18 age group, while in the older age groups there are 103 new cases for the under 60s and 33 for the over 60s, of which 6 cases for the over 80s. reached 860,958 administrations, of which 378,851 second doses and 61,053 third doses.
SOUTH TYROL
In South Tyrol there are 552 new cases of Covid-19 out of 19,344 swabs processed yesterday. One person died for a total of 1,248 victims since the beginning of the pandemic. The new positivity were 304 out of 2,383 molecular swabs examined and 248 out of 16,961 antigen tests carried out. Covid patients hospitalized in normal hospital wards are 93 while those in intensive care are 14. Out of 263,556 people subjected to molecular swab, 92,318 are positive. The total healed are 85,168.
PIEDMONT
Today the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region communicated 1,110 new cases of people who tested positive for Covid-19 (of which 574 after antigen tests), equal to 1.5% of 71,661 swabs performed, of which 62,934 antigenic. Four deaths. The total therefore becomes 11,901 deceased. There are 37 hospitalized in intensive care (+3 compared to yesterday), 419 not in intensive care (+ 6 compared to yesterday). There are 12,469 people in home isolation while the diagnostic swabs processed so far are 10,122,930 (+ 71,661 compared to yesterday), of which 2,528,522 were negative.
VENETO
Veneto has recorded 2,560 new Covid infections in the last 24 hours, a figure that is down compared to the reports above the 3,000 mark of recent days. But it also counts 8 victims, bringing the number of deaths to 12,000 since the start of the pandemic in February 2020, according to the regional bulletin. The figure for total infections rises to 528,363; currently positive subjects are 37,004 (+ 1,299). Hospital admissions are still growing. The number of beds occupied by Covid patients in medical wards is 632 (+27), 122 (+1) in intensive care
LOMBARDY
There are 2990 new cases of coronavirus registered in Lombardy. The data released by the Region show an increase in intensive care (+7) for a total of 121 people, and an increase in hospitalized patients (+19) for a total of 1045 people. The deaths are 14 which bring the toll to 34,447 victims.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA
Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia, on 8,169 molecular swabs, 737 new infections have been detected with a positive percentage of 9.02%. There are also 17,733 rapid antigenic tests carried out, from which 92 cases (0.52%) were detected. Today there are 5 deaths: a 90-year-old man from Roveredo in Piano who died in hospital, an 83-year-old man from Resia who died in hospital, two 79-year-olds from Trieste who died in hospital; a 76-year-old from Trieste in hospital.
LIGURIA
490 new positives were registered in Liguria where 5,113 molecular swabs and 12,200 rapid antigenic swabs were carried out in the last 24 hours. No Covid patients have died in the past 24 hours. In particular, in Imperia the new cases identified are 131, in Savona there are 79, in Genoa 220, in La Spezia there are 58. Two patients who are not resident in Liguria.
EMILIA ROMAGNA
Twelve deaths and 1,610 more positives than yesterday, out of a total of 40,058 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made since yesterday is 4%, the average age 40.6 years. The active cases, that is the actual patients, today are 24,237 (+ 695). Of these, people in isolation at home are a total of 23,457 (+677), 96.8% of the total number of active cases. There are 77 patients admitted to intensive care (+2 compared to yesterday), 703 those in the other Covid departments (+16). These are the main data on covid in Emilia Romagna in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 461,740 positive cases and 13,822 deaths in the Region.
TUSCANY
In Tuscany there are 304,056 cases of Coronavirus positivity, 677 more than yesterday (652 confirmed with molecular swab and 25 by rapid antigen test). New cases are 0.2% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 0.2% and reached 286,594 (94.3% of total cases). There are 295 hospitalized (1 more than yesterday), of which 49 in intensive care (1 more). Today there are 2 new deaths: 2 men, with an average age of 91.5 years, one person in Pistoia, one in Grosseto.
UMBRIA
Another 143 new Covid positives were recorded on the last day in Umbria where, however, the number of hospitalized patients is back below 50, now 47, five less than on Friday, and the number of places occupied in intensive care has dropped to eight, from nine. It emerges from the data on the Region’s website. However, there is another dead and 98 have been certified cured of the virus. The current positives are now 1,788, 44 more. 2,707 swabs and 8,873 antigen tests were analyzed, with a positive rate of the total equal to 1.2 percent (it was 1.4 on Friday).
LAZIO
Today in Lazio out of 18,190 molecular swabs and 29,481 antigenic swabs for a total of 47,671 swabs, there are 1,832 new positive cases (+339), 7 deaths (=), 712 hospitalized (-15), 91 intensive care ( +3) and 809 the healed. On 4 December last year, the same number of positive cases were recorded in Lazio, but with 2,466 fewer hospitalizations in the medical area, 269 fewer in intensive care, 68,000 fewer home blocks and 55 fewer deaths. “Numbers that demonstrate the importance of vaccination”, commented the commissioner D’Amato.
WALK
There are 444 positives detected on the last day in the Marche, less than yesterday (476), but with the incidence rate rising to 187.01 per 100 thousand inhabitants (yesterday it was 185.95). According to the data released by the Health Service of the Region, the 444 cases represent a positivity of 11.3% out of 3,916 swabs analyzed in the diagnostic screening process (6,250 total swabs, in addition to 2,222 antigen tests). The infection remains more widespread in the adult age groups: 105 cases between 45-59 years old, 93 between 25-44 year olds. There are 43 positives among elementary school children (6-10 years), 27 between 11-13 years, 23 between 14-18 years. Also of pediatric age there are 13 new cases among children 3-5 years and 3 for children from zero 2 years. There are also 43 cases between 60-69 years, 39 between 70-79 years, 28 between 80-89 and 6 from 90 years upwards. The province with the May number of new cases is Ancona, followed by Ascoli Piceno with 105, Pesaro Urbino with 82, Macerata with 74, Fermo with 47, plus 16 cases outside the region. The 44 new cases include 11 symptomatic, 124 domestic contacts, 105 close contacts of positive cases, 17 positive in the educational school setting, 75 cases are in the phase of epidemiological investigation.

CAMPANIA
Slight drop in the rate of contagion, less hospitalized in intensive care but a clear increase in the number of patients in ordinary wards. This is what emerges from the latest Covid bulletin of Campania. The positives of the day are 1,216 compared to 32,948 tests: the rate is 3.69% against 4.09 yesterday. Three dead: two in the last 48 hours, one previously but recorded yesterday.
22 hospitalized in intensive care, compared to 25 yesterday while the number of places occupied in the ordinary wards went from 308 to 322.
BASILICATA
In Basilicata there are 43 new cases of contagion from Sars Cov-2 (39 concern residents), out of a total of 737 molecular swabs, and there are no deaths from Covid-19. These are the data from the regional bulletin of the task force referring to the last 24 hours. 31 people from Basilicata who have been cured or negatively affected. 14 (+2) are hospitalized in the hospitals of Potenza and Matera; no one is hospitalized in intensive care.
PUGLIA
Out of 23,422 tests carried out in Puglia, 369 new positive cases at Covid 19 were recorded today with a positivity rate of 1.6%. Two people died. The new cases of infection are divided as follows: 88 in the province of Bari, 10 in the Bat, 61 in the Brindisi area, in the Foggiano 105, in the Leccese 50, in the province of Taranto 49, the residents outside the region are 5, those of the province in via di definition 1. There are 4,498 people currently positive, 133 are hospitalized in a non-critical area, 21 in intensive care.
CALABRIA
According to the Covid-19 emergency bulletin released by the health protection department of the Calabria Region, 456 new infections are registered (out of 6,490 swabs carried out), +99 recovered and 2 deaths (for a total of 1,505 deaths). The bulletin also records +355 currently positive, +349 in isolation, +4 hospitalized and, finally, +2 intensive care (for a total of 20).
SICILY
There are 549 new cases of Covid19 registered on the island compared to 25,952 swabs processed in Sicily. Yesterday the new positives were 836. The positivity rate drops, today it is 2.1%, yesterday it was 3.3%. The current positives are 12,845 with an increase of 23 cases. The healed are 521 while the victims are 5 and bring the total of deaths to 7,228. On the hospital front, 345 are hospitalized, eleven fewer than yesterday; in intensive care there are 45 the same number as yesterday.
SARDINIA
Cases of Covid in Sardinia are still on the rise, but today no deaths. On the island there are 199 new infections, based on 3399 people tested. A total of 10,021 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic. The number of people admitted to intensive care remains 13 and those in the medical area 72 (one less than yesterday). There are 2,917 cases of home isolation (+122 compared to yesterday).
