Cyberbullying: the police meet Turin students – News

At the Cottolengo theatre, the Operations Center for Cyber ​​Security, the Postal Police and five Fiamme Oro athletes held a meeting on cyberbullying with 500 children from ‘S. Giuseppe Benedetto Cottolengo’ and ‘Gino Strada’ of Turin.


The meeting, entitled ‘Kindness and empathy against cyberbullying’, saw the participation of Valerio Catoia, a Paralympic athlete, who recounted his experience as a victim of online hate.


The students participated in a literary and artistic competition on the topic, which concluded today with the awarding of the winners chosen by a commission appointed by the Turin Police Chief, made up of State Police personnel and school staff.


During the event, various topics were touched on, including cyberbullying and its consequences, warnings and hate speech. The collaboration of the five Fiamme Oro athletes testified to the importance of sport for the diffusion of the values ​​of loyalty, respect for the person and education to be maintained both in the real and virtual world.
