Case details
The case, male, 67 years old, lives at No. 65 Tiansheng Village, Huale Street, Yuexiu District. Entered from abroad on November 27, and multiple nucleic acid tests were negative during the quarantine period. On December 11, he returned to Guangzhou by plane (CA1837) after the isolation was lifted, and was transported to his home in Yuexiu District for closed-loop quarantine; on the 12th, the Huale Street Community Health Service Center routinely collected nucleic acid samples for him, and reported the results of the preliminary screening in the early morning of the 13th. If it is positive, the results of re-sampling and review by the city and district CDC are all positive. The case was transferred in a closed loop to the Eighth Hospital Affiliated to Guangzhou Medical University for isolation and treatment. After further examination and expert consultation, the patient was diagnosed with a common type of new coronary pneumonia and is currently in stable condition.
The Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention performed the whole genome sequencing and sequence analysis of the new coronavirus from the nasal swabs of the case. After the provincial and municipal CDCs reviewed and reported to the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for confirmation, the new coronavirus was detected as an Omi Keron mutant strain.
As of 12:00 on December 14, a total of 10,544 screening personnel in key places have been investigated, and all the results have been negative. A total of 132 environmental samples were collected, 128 environmental samples tested negative, and 4 positives were all found at the residence of the case.
According to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, Guangzhou has designated a closed zone, one control zone, and one prevention zone.
