The stranger entered the sales room of the gas station on Bottroper Strasse (corner of Cathostrasse) around 9:30 p.m. According to the police, he went to the counter and asked the 59-year-old employee to open the cash register with a stabbing weapon. Since the 59-year-old did not respond to his request, he went to a shelf, threw goods on the floor and then fled on foot in the direction of Flözstraße.
The employee was not injured. A police search in the area was unsuccessful. Now officers are looking for witnesses.
The suspect could be described as follows: male, around 25-30 years old, around 1.70 to 1.75 meters tall, with a southern appearance.
