Young people called to make Jesus Christ their daily investment throughout their journey on earth. This is what was the best of the teaching of Father François Kanyinda, Deputy Chaplain on the occasion of the recollection of the Youth Commission of the Saint François deanery, last Sunday March 17 at the Nganda Center in the commune of Ngaliema where more than 120 young people enhanced the activity with their presence.
» Young, invest yourself like Christ Jesus“, such was the general theme of this Sunday meeting in this beautiful Catholic setting, far from all the noise of the city.
Faced with the present century with the famous phenomenon “Kilelo” understand “Conform to fashion at all costs at all costs”, Father François Kanyinda called for having only Christ as a leitmotif. It is an investment that has no equal, unprecedented far ahead of money, opulence, worldly pleasures which relieve but do not fulfill.
Jesus Christ is the cornerstone when it comes to building the daily lives of young people. Getting involved in him is a guarantee of having the expected results and also changing the church and Congolese society.
In addition, he directed his listeners to join forces with other people in order to materialize certain projects to succeed in this 21st century where the world is a global village, an approach that the Canadian scientist, McLuhan had been able to anticipate.
ANSWER THE CALL
For his part, Kevin Kabudji, in his role as President of the St Francis Decanal Youth Commission, urged the supervisors to continue this great feat of training young people and always responding to the various activities of the deanery of their jurisdiction.
« Many thanks for your presence at the Nganda Center for recollection. Supervise young people, do good. Good done is never lost. Always respond to the various activities of the Commission. It is an opportunity for our deanery to wake up, come out of its sleep, its lethargy and resume its former place at the level of the Archdiocese of Kinshasa.“, he said.
« Welcome here. All the ingredients are there for our activity to run smoothly. I am very happy to welcome you to our home“, rejoiced Junior Biangani, Secretary General of the Decanal Commission and President of the Youth Commission of St Albert Parish, the host parish of the event.
This day which went like a charm was punctuated by the series of questions and answers on investment under the moderation of Julio Bonganga of Charles Lwanga and vice-president of this youth structure.
The parishes of Saint Francis de Sales of Kintambo, St Albert the Great, St Léopold of Ngaliema, St Michel, St Charles Lwanga of Bandalungwa and Notre Dame du Mont Carmel took part in this recollection marked by a joint meal in an atmosphere warm.
