A young 33-year-old colorist was murdered by a co-worker this Wednesday night, apparently while they were having an argument at the premises where they worked, located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta.
The violent episode was recorded by the security camera at the Beruti store at 3000, owned by the renowned coiffeur Facundo Verdini.
The victim is Germán Gabriel Medina who was shot in the head by his attacker who is a fugitive.

On his Instagram account, the 33-year-old hairdresser’s partner, Julio Mendoza, made a publication in which he uploaded different postcards of both of them. In the photos you can see them enjoying time together, especially on vacation.
“My love! My great love. How do I go on without your hugs, without your kisses, without your caresses? How do I keep all those promises we made?” Mendoza introduced, hours after the colorist was murdered in cold blood.

In his emotional defense, Mendoza said he loved Medina “with every part of his body and his soul.” She thanked him for teaching her “good love,” to “love freely,” and for all the things she did for him in these three years of their relationship.
“I don’t regret having bet everything on our love and I know I wasn’t confused. I love you my Ger, my Balti, my Gork, as I told you. I love you to infinity and wherever you go I know that I take you with me,” she wrote.

For her part, the hairdresser’s sister had strong words against the murderer, identified as Luis Abel Guzmán, 43 years old. “You son of a bitch, I swear we’re going to find you, no matter what the last thing I do, you piece of shit. You left a mother waiting for her son, a sister without her lifelong friend, her partner waiting for him at home like every day. You have to pay for all the pain you are causing this family,” attacked Marina Florencia, as she identifies herself on Facebook.
“This scourge has to appear, Abel Guzmán. He worked at the Verdini hair salon in Recoleta and fled after shooting my brother, who died after arriving at the hospital. Please, we must find him to do justice. No one will pay me back to my brother, but I need his help to pay for what he did,” he asked his followers.

Towards the end of February, salon employees showed up on the stylist’s social media. Germán said that he was one of the colorists on staff and his specialties were balayage, babylights, designer cuts and updos.
“My name is Germán and I am a colorist. One of the things that is requested a lot is ombré balayage, which are those with contour or babylights, which is an effect as if you had gone to the beach and your hair has naturally lightened in very fine strands,” he said.
In addition, she added in her presentation: “Colors that go well with each client’s natural base color are often requested. A tip to stay on trend is not to go away from your natural colors and always have a sparkle that accompanies close to the contour of the face,” she recommended.

Police sources detailed that the episode occurred around 8 p.m., when at least five people, including Verdini, stayed after the work day to share drinks.
At one point, one of them takes a gun and shoots the colorist Germán Medina in the head and flees.
Same personnel arrived at the scene and took Medina to the Fernández Hospital where doctors confirmed the death of the colorist.
The manager of the premises told the Police that there was a “work incident between two employees.”
The attacker was identified as Abel Guzmán.
