GORIZIA. A fire broke out on the morning of Saturday 16 July on the Monfalconese Karst, where the flames involved a wooded area, fortunately limited to only one hectare, near Jamiano.
The firefighters managed to put out the fire in time, preventing the flames from spreading to neighboring lands.
However, the phenomenon of forest fires shows no signs of abating, with the drought that is also gripping our territory and the hot wind that continues to blow.
On Friday 15 July, however, in addition to the vast fire that hit Bibione, an area of the Slovenian Karst was also engulfed in flames, beyond the border of Devetachi, a hamlet of Doberdò del Lago.
