Provincial Governor Attends Delegation Meeting to Review Government Work Report
Jin Xiangjun, deputy to the Provincial People’s Congress and governor of the province, attended the Yuncheng delegation meeting on January 24 to review the government work report alongside representatives. Vice Governor Zhao Hongyan was also in attendance.
During the meeting, various representatives spoke successively and commended the government work report for adhering to Xi Jinping’s new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. They also emphasized the importance of implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech on Shanxi work and the arrangements of the 7th Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee and the Economic Work Conference of the Provincial Party Committee.
Representatives put forward opinions and suggestions focusing on promoting high-quality development, development of cultural tourism and museums, conservation and intensive utilization of water resources in the Yellow River, comprehensive utilization of waste resources, construction of grassroots medical and health institutions, ensuring grid security, development of the new energy automobile industry, and training of high-skilled talents.
Jin Xiangjun listened carefully and responded to each suggestion, asking relevant departments to fully incorporate them into specific measures to further improve the government’s work.
In his remarks, Jin Xiangjun emphasized the importance of implementing the decisions and arrangements of the provincial party committee and the provincial government. He also highlighted the need to strengthen development confidence, give full play to comparative advantages, and stride forward in promoting the practice of modernizing Shanxi in Chinese style.
The governor also urged for the implementation of ecological protection projects in the Yellow River Basin, promoting the development of emerging industries, the construction of high-standard farmland, developing an export-oriented economy, and effectively protecting and improving people’s livelihood.
In the new year, Jin Xiangjun emphasized the need to conscientiously implement the decisions and arrangements of the provincial party committee and the provincial government. He also stressed the importance of strengthening development confidence, giving full play to comparative advantages, and striving to promote the practice of modernizing Shanxi in Chinese style.
Overall, the meeting served as a platform to review the government’s work and gather valuable input from representatives, with a focus on driving high-quality development and promoting the overall transformation of the province.
