The Fez Security Prefecture learned that a police employee working in the traffic squad had attempted suicide on Thursday evening, February 15, inside his residence using his functional weapon.
The injured policeman was transferred to the hospital after sustaining serious bullet wounds, where he is still undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
The injured policeman was the subject of a judicial investigation carried out by the Regional Division of the Judicial Police in Fez against the background of a case related to suspicion of embezzlement of public funds, after recording imbalances in the management of revenues from arbitrary reconciliatory fines related to road traffic.
