«After a week from his return to Friuli – says his son Sandro, still shaken – the first symptoms of an infection began, which led to his death. The care of the health workers, who worked hard to be able to save his life, was of no use ”.

Third of four brothers, Livio Lizzit was born and lived in the municipality of Sedegliano, raised in the “farie” of a family of farriers. The 64-year-old was a metal industry professional, recognized and sought after for his talent nationwide.

In his company he worked together with Gabriele, the youngest son, and now he had plans to join in the work also with his son Sandro. Precisely for this reason he went to Tenerife.

His generous and altruistic character led Livio to always be available to others. In the village he was well known and respected.

He was distinguished by his deep faith. Flavia Zanussi, married at only 19, was the love of her life. Lizzit was very attached to his three children: Claudio, Sandro and Gabriele, to whom he managed to convey the strong values of work, friendship, honesty and humility.

The sixty-four-year-old Friulian loved singing, and this passion of his made it concrete in the cantorìa of Sedegliano, of which he was a part. For some years it also belonged to the Sedegliano fishermen association. Livio Lizzit was a particularly affectionate grandfather.

All his free time was dedicated to his four beloved nephews: Manuel, Sharon, Vittorio and Federico. Livio Lizzit was also a point of reference for his children’s friends. His home was a seaport for welcoming young people, assures those who knew him. His sensitive soul poured his passion into the care of the garden and the flowers.

There will be many, today, at 4 pm, to give him the last farewell, in the parish church of Sant’Antonio, in Piazza Roma, in Sedegliano.
