He stabbed his wife, sentenced in Ivrea for attempted murder

The Ivrea court sentenced Anton Corneliu, a 49-year-old Romanian, to eight years and six months, with the formula of the abbreviated rite, who on 24 December last year stabbed his 46-year-old wife in the abdomen. The attack was triggered at the end of a quarrel in the house that the two shared in Lombardore. The woman was saved thanks to a delicate surgery at the Ciriè hospital. The 48-year-old, on trial for attempted murder, was then arrested by the carabinieri of Leini. The first instance sentence was pronounced by judge Marianna Tiseo.
