The brave encounter of a diver with a crocodile in South Carolina
A diver, Will Georgitis, had a harrowing experience in the Cooper River in South Carolina when he was attacked by a crocodile while searching for fossil bones. Georgitis, whose hobby involves exploring the depths of waters to find animal remains, came face to face with the ferocious animal that almost tore off his arm in a terrifying encounter.
Georgitis, who often records his adventures in rivers, seas, and lagoons, showcasing his findings on social media, encountered the crocodile while surfacing after a long diving session. The crocodile charged at him, capturing his arm in its jaws, leading to a life-threatening struggle between the two.
Despite his efforts to defend himself and stab the crocodile with a screwdriver, the animal shook him violently and dragged him to the river’s bottom, 15 meters deep. Georgitis recounted the harrowing experience, expressing his fear and desperation during the encounter.
Following the attack, Georgitis is now seeking donations to undergo surgery for his injuries. His story serves as a reminder of the dangers faced by divers and adventurers exploring the wilderness and the importance of caution in such encounters.
