The President of the Republic, Faure Gnassingbé, invited the activists of the Union for the Republic (UNIR) to invest more in the field for greater impact. This is, among other things, one of the exhortations launched by the Head of State on February 26, 2024 at the opening of the UNIR party Congress in Kara.
Faure Gnassingbé “wants an alignment and exemplary complementarity between the government’s orientations and the interventions” of the basic structures of the party and activists on the ground. “It is there, on the ground, that the populations are found. Furthermore, Faure Gnassingbé informed his followers that adherence to the vision and ideals of the UNIR party “must be expressed through policies, programs, initiatives, attitudes and actions which demonstrate a commitment permanent to be at the service of the Togolese populations.
This statutory congress, the second in the life of the UNIR party, brought together more than 1,500 delegates.
