SECURITY – Joint operation on the afternoon of Thursday 21 March 2024
Ferrara, 03/22/2024. The inter-force services that the Prefecture of Ferrara intended to launch in unison with all the police forces present in the area continue, to guarantee the necessary legality protection, carrying out a synergistic prevention activity on the phenomenon of drug dealing and other manifestations of potential illegality.
On the afternoon of Thursday 21 March, after the briefing carried out at the local police headquarters in via Tassoni, another joint intervention was launched by all the police forces, carried out mainly in the north-eastern quadrant of the city. In particular: Francolino, Borgo Punta, via Frutteti, Pontelagoscuro etc..
A patrol from the State Police, two patrols from the Carabinieri, one from the Guardia di Finanza and two from the Terre Estensi Local Police including a dog unit participated in the service.
Checkpoints have been activated in numerous states. Overall, 980 vehicles were checked (also thanks to the activation of a Targasystem device) and 37 people (of which 4 foreigners); a total of 7 fines were issued for violations of the Highway Code. During the joint service, checks on excise duties and public businesses were also carried out in the north-east area.
