The validity of the driving licenses is extended for the duration of the state of health emergency
With the extension of the state of health emergency, the periods of validity of driving licenses are also extended.
At the moment the deadline concerns documents expired or expiring until 31 December 2021 which will remain valid for circulation in Italy until 31 March 2022. In the case of documents expired in June 2021, the validity is extended by ten months.
Those who need to renew their documents must book well in advance with the Local Medical Commission. The Aosta Valley Local Health Authority recommends contacting the offices “four months before the expiry date of the document” in order to have time to carry out any specialist checks.
