In an effort to provide warmth in Harbin’s cold winter, the Harbin Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau has partnered with local Yueju.com, Shell Harbin Station, and 58 Tongcheng to launch the “Leasing and Purchasing Simultaneous Promotion of Rent and Purchase to Provide Warmth in Harbin’s Cold Winter” program. The program has been launched in Central Street, Sophia Church Square, Qunli Music Park, and Harbin West Railway Station, with the goal of providing housing information to southern tourists looking to purchase or rent a home in Harbin.
Volunteers from Shell Network and Yueju Network were seen in Sophia Church Square, Central Street, and Qunli Music Park, offering hot ginger tea, warm baby stickers, and housing information to passing tourists. The volunteers aimed to provide a warm welcome and introduce Harbin’s house purchase and rental policies to interested tourists.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Harbin Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, the number of non-Harbin residents purchasing houses in the city has seen a significant increase, reaching a total of 4,650 houses from December 2023 to January 2024, a year-on-year increase of 94%. Additionally, the rising tourism popularity in Harbin has driven the market for housing rental and other industries in popular areas, with the number of rental transactions increasing by 268% compared to the previous year.
The houses launched by the government and major intermediary brands have excellent geographical locations, complete surrounding supporting facilities, and convenient transportation, making them suitable for both buying and renting. In order to assist southern tourists in understanding and choosing housing, the Harbin Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau has opened a special area online with various platforms to provide a full range of information services and consulting support.
As the “Southern Little Golden Bean” arrive in Harbin, they are sincerely welcomed by the government and hope to find their ideal homes in the city.
