The city of Braunschweig offers bulky waste collection
Private households and allotment garden associations in Braunschweig that are affected by the flood can have their bulky waste picked up free of charge. The city administration wants to support those who have to dispose of furnishings that have become unusable, according to a statement. Upon agreement, containers are also available free of charge for garden owners and clubs. In addition, an attempt is being made to give private households early priority for appointments to collect bulky waste at short notice and free of charge.

High “Hannelore” ensures dry winter weather
In view of sub-zero temperatures and temperatures that are at best just above freezing, it remains dry throughout Lower Saxony today. High “Hannelore” ensures largely sunny weather – occasionally there are cloudy phases, but no rain.
