The accident on Saturday afternoon, along the Vallungo stream, near the hamlet of Chironio
Intervention by the technicians of the Piedmontese Alpine and Speleological Rescue on the afternoon of Saturday 3 July along the Vallungo stream, near the hamlet of Chironio, in the municipality of Locana.
The gorge team of the Canavesana Delegation, specialized in interventions on the bed of mountain streams, rescued a woman who fell during a canyoning course and suffered a dorsal trauma. The technicians reached the injured person by land along the gorge, proceeded with stabilization, embarkation and transport to a suitable place for recovery with the helicopter ambulance of the Piedmontese Helicopter Rescue Service which proceeded with hospitalization.
