Xpeng plans to hire 4,000 new employees and invest in artificial intelligence technology. The company’s CEO, however, issues a clear warning.
He Xiaopeng, the CEO of electric car maker ) that will focus on “intelligent driving”. Xpeng already has a driver assistance system called Xpilot that allows its cars to perform some functions semi-autonomously.
The CEO also said that Xpeng plans to launch about 30 new or improved cars in the next three years. This year, the company will launch its first models in the price segment above 300,000 yuan (about 41,676 US dollars) and below 150,000 yuan (20,838 US dollars).
