Day of disembarkation in Lampedusa where 341 migrants landed on board six boats.
After the 183 arrived during the night with two different boats, four other boats arrived. In the morning thirty-six migrants, including 12 women and 2 minors, were rescued by a patrol boat of the Guardia di Finanza 20 miles from Capo di Ponente, in Lampedusa.
They claimed to be from Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea Cornakry, Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone. In the afternoon 94 migrants were rescued in the waters off the island by a patrol boat belonging to the Guardia di Finanza.
Among them also a minor and a young man who was ill and was taken to the outpatient clinic by ambulance. The migrants said they came from Bangladesh, Gambia, Sudan, Egypt, Morocco.
Finally, another 12 landed on an 8-meter white pleasure cruiser: on board also a family of Syrians: father, mother and 6 children, as well as 4 other migrants from Gambia and Cameroon.
The rescue operation was coordinated by the Capitaneria in front of Lampedusa. Finally, a 5-meter dinghy with 15 Tunisians on board landed, including an unaccompanied minor. The dinghy would leave Jerba tonight.
