According to Minsal data until yesterday, they identified 19 positive tests for Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and at least 15 antigen tests.
“Positive tests throughout the territory, currently private laboratories reported nine positive covid-19 tests yesterday. Regarding public laboratories, around 10 positive tests are being reported throughout the collection of samples. In antigen private laboratories 13 tests, in national tests, two positive tests,” the minister explained.
In this way, the number of patients confirmed by this virus totals 34, which means an increase of 31 cases compared to the last epidemiological bulletin of week 50 (from December 10 to 16, 2023) which recorded only 3 positive cases. by Covid-19.
On the other hand, of the total number of hospitalized patients, he reported that there are 5 people who are in the Hospital of El Salvador, adding that they are the only ones in Salvadoran territory.
“We currently have 5 patients with covid-19 admitted to the El Salvador hospital. In the rest of the hospitals we do not have patients admitted for covid-19,” said Alabi.
