ROME. The policemen seized the computer and cell phone of Matteo G., the 28-year-old photographer who was the only direct witness to the tragic death of Francesca Romana D’Elia, the 19-year-old who died after falling into the elevator shaft on the morning of the 2nd. December while he was on a set on the condominium terrace of a building in Viale dei Quattro Venti, in the Roman district of Monteverde. A tragedy on which the prosecutor of Rome is investigating, which in the past few hours has opened a file for manslaughter entrusted to the prosecutor Alessia Miele.

Francesca and Matteo knew each other: with the young man he had already taken part in a set, then the two – as the young man would have confirmed to the Monteverde police officers – had agreed for a second session. At first there was talk of an accident while the young woman was taking a selfie on the terrace, but then the photographer talked about the escape under the storm. “I passed by a wall that we had climbed before, she went to the other side ending up on the skylight that gave way,” explained the 28-year-old to the police. The version has not been questioned so far, although there is no examination of the material acquired in the study. For this reason, the truth could come from the young man’s tablet. And waiting for answers – for 20 days now – is the 19-year-old’s family, but also the community of Campagnano di Roma that has gathered around the young woman’s father and mother, Marco – also a photographer, well-known in cinemas – and Irina, a former model of Russian origin.
