Moroccan child “Ryan” wins the US President’s Cup for Cybersecurity

On Tuesday, February 27, Moroccan child Rayan Ait Taher won the US President’s Cup for Cybersecurity, one of the most prominent international competitions in this field, becoming the first African and Moroccan and the youngest contestant (12 years old) to win this title, according to what was reported by Anadolu Agency.

The government website SNRT said: “Moroccan child Rayan Ait Taher made history on Tuesday when he won the US President’s Cup for Cybersecurity, beating senior experts in the field who were decades older than him.”

The Moroccan child succeeded in winning first place in the final of the President’s Competition organized by the American Cybersecurity Institute, known as CISA, which is a competition organized once every five years.

Rayan Ait Al-Taher was able to excel aptly and occupy first place in the final of the competition, which was organized remotely on Tuesday, as he obtained 3,245 points.

Immediately after the end of the race, which depends on developing penetration tests and diagnosing defects in information systems, the Moroccan child received a congratulatory message from the American governmental organization, for being the first African and Moroccan and the youngest contestant to win the President’s Cup for Cybersecurity.

According to the message, the organizers were surprised by his superiority, as they did not expect a 12-year-old to win the cup.

The President’s Cup Cybersecurity Competition is organized by the US Government’s Cybersecurity Institute, called CISA, which is the highest government federal cybersecurity organization and the National Coordinator for Critical Infrastructure Security, which is charged with reducing the risks to cyber and physical infrastructure in the United States of America.
