Local police have intensified checks
LOIRI PORTO SAN PAOLO. Owners of campers and motorhomes parked in unauthorized areas or on the beach were fined today July 14 by local police officers led by commander Giuseppe Serra. The local police of Loiri Porto San Paolo has intensified the control services throughout the municipal territory, in particular, road and coastal surveillance services. In addition to the usual interventions, investigations have increased to combat the phenomenon of camping and illegal parking of campers, in order to avoid behaviors that could damage coastal areas and that are in contrast with the regional regulations for the protection of the territory.
“The control of the territory is a priority – says the mayor Francesco Lai -, as well as the need to ensure citizens adequate levels of safety and livability, including on the road. The aim is to implement policies that guarantee decorum and environmental value, while at the same time emphasizing the education and respect of the vast majority of tourists who choose our seaside resort for their holidays “.
