Murder of Cison, the Supreme Court confirms life imprisonment for Pope

The appeal presented by Pope’s lawyers who killed Loris Nicolasi and Annamaria Niola in their villa in Rolle on March 1, 2018 was rejected.

THERE ARE. The sentence tolife sentence borne by Sergio Papa for the murder of the spouses Loris Nicolasi and Annamaria Niola in Rolle, which took place on 1 March 2018 in their house in Rolle. The Supreme Court of Cassation, rejecting the appeal presented by the defendants’ defenders, thus rendered executive the sentence of first instance sentenced in December 2019 by the Treviso Court of Assizes, confirmed by the November 2020 sentence of the Venice Court of Appeal. The investigations had been carried out by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit, under the command of Colonel Mura, under the direction of Deputy Prosecutor Davide Romanelli.

The appeal to the Supreme Court of the Pope’s two lawyers (Fabio Crea and Paolo Camporini of the Como bar, known for defending Massimo Bossetti, the alleged murderer of the Bergamo girl Yara Gambirasio) concerned various aspects, but two in particular. The first concerned the dnathe so-called queen test, and the second the time in which the double murder had taken place. Exceptions that the Court of Cassation rejected.
