Nebraska Substitute Teacher Caught Naked in Car with Teenage Student
In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old Nebraska substitute teacher, Erin Ward, was arrested for allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old student from Burke High School. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning when Ward was found naked in a car with the teenager by Douglas County sheriff’s deputies.
Ward, who is a mother of three and married to a high-ranking employee at the United States Strategic Command, confessed to the authorities about the inappropriate relationship with the teenage boy. She was charged with felony sexual abuse by a school employee.
The incident came to light when officers responded to a call about a suspicious car parked in a cul-de-sac. Upon approaching the vehicle, they found Ward and the teenager in a compromising position. The teen, panicked, drove off in the car but crashed it two blocks later. He fled on foot while Ward remained in the car, got dressed, and confessed to the authorities.
It was revealed that Ward had been working as a substitute teacher at various schools in the area, including Burke High School where the student was enrolled. The teenager was later found hiding in a nearby yard wearing only his T-shirt and underwear.
