In Pomigliano d’Arco. Maiello, “education providential”

(ANSA) – POMIGLIANO D’ARCO (NAPLES), JULY 11 – A five-month-old baby, who was suffocating on his mother’s milk, was rescued and saved by the traffic policemen of the Municipality of Pomigliano d’Arco who performed the maneuvers of unblocking and artificial respiration. To rescue the little one were some municipal police officers stopped by the mother, in the street, with the now cyanotic child in her arms.

The agents, given the seriousness, rescued the little one, and the commander Luigi Maiello practiced the unblocking maneuvers and artificial respiration. After what seemed like endless minutes to the rescuers, the baby regurgitated the milk and started crying. The little one was then entrusted to the care of the 118 staff, alerted by the traffic police themselves.

“It was a team effort – commented the commander Maiello – the agents are trained and trained. I am an Opsa instructor of the CRI, and thanks to the training I was able to lend a hand to this little one who was in danger of dying”.
