Islamabad (UMT News) Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi has said that no guidelines have been given to stop mobile service and internet on the occasion of elections.

Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi said in a statement that security is a serious issue. No guidelines have been given by the government to shut down mobile phone service and internet on the occasion of elections. If the law and order situation deteriorates in a place, the local administration can take a decision after reviewing the situation.

Murtaza Solangi further said that an extraordinary situation demands an extraordinary solution but so far there is no such extraordinary situation. Fake news, fake news and propaganda are spread on social media while security is a serious issue. Pakistan’s determination to fight terrorism has not weakened.
According to the Caretaker Information Minister, after the establishment of the interim government of the Afghan Taliban in Kabul, the activities of various terrorist groups have increased in Pakistan. Last year alone there were about 1500 incidents of terrorism.

Murtaza Solangi said that the Ministry of Information has established an online helpline for the convenience of local and foreign journalists and observers.
