For the first time since the corona measures were introduced at the beginning of 2020, North Korea has received foreign tourists again. French and South Korean media report this. A group of 97 Russians made the trip from Vladivostok to the capital Pyongyang on Friday.

The trip will last four days, from February 9 to 12. After a visit to the capital, the group will travel to the Masikryong ski area, about 125 kilometers to the east. Masikryong was created by the army in less than a year about ten years ago.
The North Korean borders have been officially open since last summer. But there is little question of free entry and exit. When Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov himself visited Pyongyang last year, he recommended the country as a safe travel destination. Due to the conflicts with the West, his countrymen have a limited range of holiday resorts.
