Nuoro, 55 hires in the Municipality

by admin

NUORO. The municipal council has approved the update of the administration staff needs plan. The document brings the number of professionals who will be hired in 2021 to 55, with the possibility of further increasing it if there is financial availability. As explained by the Councilor for Personnel Filippo Spanu, these are various types of job positions that will cover the shortcomings that today different sectors of the administration suffer: from administrative instructors (whose competition will start on August 31st) to technical ones, from the local police, to the gardeners. During this year, the Municipality has already made 12 recruitments, to which another 8 will be added by 31 July. By 2021, the intention is therefore to proceed to at least another 35, most of which for an indefinite period.

The resolution approved today 23 July also introduces vertical career progression for the staff of the institution, a long-awaited provision. “In the last three years – says the commissioner – the administration has lost 30 percent of the workforce. Now, for the first time in a long time, we’re reversing the negative balance between retirements and new hires. The latter, in fact, exceed the former by 29 units. The needs plan – he continues – was previously shared with the trade unions, to whom we emphasized that it is an ongoing process ».

«The strengthening of the administrative machinery – observes the mayor Andrea Soddu – is the necessary premise for the improvement of services in favor of citizens, both in terms of quality and quantity. The new figures we have hired and will be hiring by the end of the year, together with the great professionalism we already have and the digital innovation underway, will allow us to set up an administration that is increasingly efficient and closer to people’s needs ” .
