Authorities managed to capture alias Napo in flagrante delicto, who indicated that he was the second leader of the Clan del Golfo in the department of Casanare.
Alias Napo, would have influence in the municipalities of Villanueva, Monterrey and Aguazul in Casanare, and in the municipalities of Barranca de Upía and Puerto Gaitán in Meta, as well as in Paratebueno, Cundinamarca, being in charge of collecting extortionate fees from businessmen, merchants and ranchers, coordinate selective murders and make payroll payments to members of that organized armed group.
The raid where this subject was captured took place in the Los Almendros neighborhood of Yopal, seizing a 9mm pistol, 30 9mm caliber cartridges, two pistol magazines, a defragmentation grenade and two cell phones, material that was used to intimidate and terrorize the victims of extortion, also seizing a sum of 6 million one hundred thousand pesos in cash, apparently the product of this crime.
Both alias Napo and the seized material were placed at the disposal of the competent authority in the city of Villavicencio, where their judicialization process was carried out.
