“I was with my son when we saw the small plane fly a few meters above our heads,” said a wet man who filmed the scene with his cell phone, “we were afraid. Initially we thought that the vehicle was damaged and that the pilot was looking for an area to be able to land, but then he glided over our heads again releasing a whitish substance that had a smell of gasoline. There was a stampede of people, there we understood that he was doing it deliberately: they should withdraw his permits to fly and give him a fine, it is common sense ».
«I was there with my boyfriend», says a local young woman, «we thought that the vehicle had problems. We were frightened at the sight of the plane that continued to glide ».

The incident was reported to the local police station. From the video it is possible to see that a man with a helmet or a white hat is driving the airplane. “I was told by the locals that it is not the first time that an episode of this type has occurred,” continued the bather, “I was afraid for my son and me, a mistake and he would have fallen on the crowd. The air was unbreathable, it would be necessary to identify the culprit and punish him. I reported the incident to the carabinieri, I don’t think many have such an aircraft, so it should be traceable. There are those who justified it by saying that it was a simple stunt, but a mistake was enough and more than one dead could escape us, no one asked him for a show ».
During the glide the pilot released a smoke bomb into the air, a special effect used during acrobatics and probably composed of vaseline oil that is burned inside the exhaust, it is not toxic to people.
At the moment it has not been possible to trace the identity of the pilot, what is certain is that the airfield in the area denied the presence of pilots of the structure in those hours in the Negrisia area. “Our pilots are well trained and do not do these” stunts “, especially where there are people,” they declare to the flight structure in the area.
There is a regulation that establishes the flight spaces and the quotas that pilots are required to respect for the protection of themselves and other subjects. There is no legislation that prevents flying on the Piave gravel.
On 18 April of this year, an ultralight aircraft landed on the Piave bed due to a breakdown. At the wheel of the vehicle a 26-year-old pilot from Treviso and a passenger he was teaching to drive. The pilot managed to make an emergency landing upside down on the riverbed. Both were left unharmed.
