On November 10th, the 4th China International Import Expo closed. What achievements have we made?
During the current CIIE, more than 2,900 companies from 127 countries and regions participated in the exhibition, with an exhibition area of 366,000 square meters; the current CIIE’s intended transaction value was 70.72 billion US dollars on a one-year basis; 422 new products, new technologies, and new services; 640 exhibitors and 766 purchasers from 55 countries participated in the exhibition online and offline, and 273 cooperation intentions were reached…
The success of the CIIE is not accidental, and is closely related to our country’s active international cooperation.
This year, coincides with the 20th anniversary of China’s accession to the World Trade Organization. In these years, our country’s economy has developed rapidly!
In 20 years, China’s economic aggregate has risen from 6th to 2nd in the world; trade in goods has risen from 6th to 1st in the world; trade in services has risen from 11th to 2nd in the world; and the use of foreign capital has been developing steadily. The country ranks first; foreign direct investment has risen from the 26th in the world to the first; China’s total import and export value of goods trade has grown from 0.51 trillion US dollars in 2001 to 4.65 trillion US dollars in 2020; China’s GDP global The proportion has grown from 4% in 2001 to 17% in 2020.
As China’s exchanges with other countries become closer and closer after China’s entry into the WTO, and our degree of openness is getting higher and higher, a series of economic and trade activities similar to the CIIE will be better and better!
