The process has begun for the signing of a similar program agreement with the Tuscany Region for flood events last October and November

The Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, implementing the Legislative Decree of 1 June 2023 n. 61, signed a Program agreement with the Regions Emilia Romagna, Tuscany e Marche which regulates the productive reconversion and requalification interventions in the territories affected by the flood events of May 2023.

The resources allocated by the Ministry are overall 50 million of euros, through the use of the aid scheme of L. 181/1989aimed at safeguarding employment levels and recovering the production capacity of the territories.

For the purposes of eligibility for benefits, i projects must include a program, to be implemented within 12 months from the date of completion of the investments, aimed at increasing employment or maintaining the number of employees in the production unit affected by the investments. In the latter case, the production unit must have been operational for at least two years.

And Technical committee composed of five members – two representing MIMIT and the remaining representing the three Regions – will be responsible for the implementation, coordination and monitoring of the interventions with the technical support of Invitalia, manager of the measure referred to in Law 181/1989. The measure, which aims to support businesses in the flooded areas, is added to that of access to the specific section of the SME Guarantee Fund, which became operational last June.

The Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, implementing Legislative Decree 9 December 2023 n. 181 (DL Energy) in the conversion phase, has also started the process for signing a similar Program agreement with the Region Tuscany to regulate productive reconversion and requalification interventions in the territories affected by the adverse weather events from last October and Novemberas identified by the resolution of the Council of Ministers of 5 December 2023.

During a first meeting between the technicians of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy and the Tuscany Region, which was held in the last few hours on the proposal of Minister Adolfo Ursusthe Mimit offices have submitted a first draft of the Agreement and the related notice.

The Agreement will be financed with total resources 50 million of euros, through recourse to the aid regime provided for by L. 181/1989for interventions aimed at safeguarding employment levels and recovering the production capacity of the territories.
