It is the day of “Digitour”: travel agencies and tour operators can apply for a tax credit. This is a solution put on the table by the Ministry of Tourism and managed by Invitalia (the reference standard is the decree of the Minister of Tourism in agreement with the Minister of Economy and Finance of 29 December 2021). The initiative is foreseen by the NRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) and aims to enable travel agencies and tour operators to make a qualitative leap, especially in terms of investments and digital development activities.
How to apply
Applications for the granting of tax credit are completed and submitted exclusively through the online procedure from 12 noon on Friday 4 March to 5 pm on 4 April 2022 from the Invitalia platform. To request the benefits it is necessary to have a digital identity (SPID, CNS, CIE) and to access the reserved area to fill in the application online. Furthermore, you must have a digital signature and a certified e-mail address (PEC). At the end of the online procedure, an electronic protocol number is assigned. Applications are examined in chronological order of presentation. Within 60 days from the deadline (4 April 2022), and without prejudice to any requests for integration or clarifications, the Ministry of Tourism
granting of the tax credit on the basis of the chronological order of receipt of the applications detected by the online procedure. In the event of non-existence of the eligibility requirements, Invitalia, as managing entity, proceeds with the transmission of the reasons impeding the acceptance of the application. Each beneficiary can submit only one request for authorization to use the tax credit.

The overall budget for the measure is 98 million euros, distributed as follows: 18 million for 2022; 10 million for 2023; 10 million for 2024; 60 million for 2025.
