Montanaro’s first league defeat in the season (3-2 in the trip to Saint Vincent) and at the same time the victory of Vallorco 1-2 in Villeneuve against Grand Paradis have in fact officially reopened the games for the first place in the standings of group C .

The Montanaro is always in command, with 44 points, now trailed only one length by Vallorco. The fight between the two Canavese teams in this first part of 2022 was full of pathos. This knockout should make us reflect for the rest of the championship, in which we want to defend first place as long as possible ».

There is no euphoria, but certainly there is great satisfaction at Vallorco, to be one point from the top of the second consecutive championship in the First category, as explained by the twenty-five-year-old Valpergene striker Alberto Grosso, match winner with the Grand Paradis ( 1-2) last Sunday: “Each game has its own story, we are one point behind the leaders, but nothing changes for us – says Grosso – because we know that every game must be played until the last moment and no match is won easily . For example, against River Plaine, last in the standings, we won 1-2 struggling and it will be the same in the next thirteen games ».
