Residents of the sub-center in Beijing have recently gained a sense of happiness as the city sub-center showcased new developments and achievements during an interview event themed “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development” 10th Anniversary. The event included visits to the sub-center comprehensive transportation hub, Friendship Hospital Tongzhou campus, Beijing Fifth Middle School Tongzhou campus, and other key locations to demonstrate the improvements in urban framework, public services, and overall quality of life in the region.

One of the highlights of the event was the unveiling of the prototype of the sub-central station comprehensive transportation hub, a landmark project aimed at promoting the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The hub, set to be the largest underground transportation hub in Asia, integrates various transportation modes and is a key component of the “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei on Track” initiative. Construction is progressing well, with key structures nearing completion and the hub expected to be operational by 2025.

In addition to transportation advancements, the northern region of the sub-center has significantly improved its education sector, addressing long-standing shortcomings in the area. Beijing No. 5 Middle School Tongzhou Campus, a newly built institution, has already attracted over 2,000 students and is focused on nurturing well-rounded individuals with a strong sense of ethics and academic achievement. The campus aims to enhance the educational level in the sub-center’s northern area and has already received accolades for its innovative approach to teaching.

Furthermore, the second phase of Beijing Friendship Hospital (Tongzhou Campus) is set to enhance the region’s emergency and critical care capabilities by the end of 2023. With an increased bed capacity and improved medical facilities, the hospital is expected to provide better healthcare services to residents in the area. Since its opening in 2018, the hospital has seen a steady increase in medical services and has become a trusted healthcare provider in the sub-center.

Overall, the developments in the sub-center have brought a sense of happiness and pride to residents, showcasing the positive impact of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy on the region’s quality of life. With continued progress in transportation, education, and healthcare, the sub-center is poised for further growth and prosperity in the years to come.
