As the Spring Festival approaches, various places in China are gearing up for the holiday season with colorful activities and preferential policies to attract tourists. The tourism market is heating up as the number of visitors to these destinations grows.

One such event is the Xinjiang Beitun Ice Dragon Boat Race, which took place in the frigid temperatures of minus 25°C. The competition saw 20 teams participating in a lively ice dragon boat race, using ice blades and iron “paws” to navigate the frozen Yudai River.

In Yulin, Shaanxi, the first “Desert Ice and Snow Festival” has opened, featuring a range of activities including ice and snow track, ancient charm, and childhood experiences. This festival aims to integrate ice and snow sports with tourism, offering attractions such as ice sculptures, colorful light shows, and skiing projects.

Similarly, in Daxin County, Chongzuo, Guangxi, there has been a significant increase in the number of visitors to multiple scenic spots, with tourists enjoying the breathtaking natural beauty and cultural experiences the area has to offer.

Meanwhile, Guangdong has released ten major measures to promote cultural tourism consumption, including organizing Lingnan characteristic festivals, providing high-quality rural tourism products, and promoting self-driving tours to stimulate cultural and tourism consumption potential.

With these events and initiatives, the tourism market in China is expected to see a boost in the lead-up to the Spring Festival.
