According to Alpine Club Pakistan, May 14 has been a very special day for Pakistani mountaineers as three Pakistanis have achieved the honor of climbing Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.

These Pakistani climbers include Sajid Ali Sadpara, Naila Kayani and Pakistani-born British climber Nadia Azad.

According to Alpine Club Pakistan Secretary Karar Hydari, Sajid Ali Sadpara on Sunday achieved the feat of climbing Mount Everest in Nepal without oxygen or the help of a Sherpa.

According to him, Sajid Ali Sadpara is returning after accomplishing this feat on Sunday, May 14.

Earlier on Sunday, Pakistani mountaineer Naila Kayani won the honor of climbing Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world located in Nepal. She has become the first non-Nepalese climber to summit Everest in 2023.

Everest Today confirmed her Everest summit by tweeting that ‘Pakistan’s Naila Kayani along with Nepali Passing Temba Sherpa has successfully summited the 8,848 meter high Mount Everest this morning.’

A statement from Naila Kayani’s official Facebook account congratulated her on this achievement and said, ‘Your dedication, strength and perseverance is truly inspiring. You are the highest 8,000 meter peak woman in Pakistan, we are proud of you and pray for your safe return.’

Four days ago, Naila Kayani also shared pictures on Facebook in a traditional red dress, celebrating being a Pakistani woman from the Everest base camp.

He wrote: ‘To me, summiting is more than just reaching the top, it’s a way of breaking down barriers and pushing boundaries. As a Pakistani woman, I am honored to be part of a movement that is challenging the status quo and changing the narrative.’

Naila Kayani also has the honor of being the first Pakistani woman mountaineer to climb the 8,91 meter high Annapurna peak.

She is the second Pakistani woman to climb the second highest peak in the world as Samina Baig was the first Pakistani woman to achieve this honor.

Naila is a Dubai-based Pakistani banker and mother of two daughters, who is also the first Pakistani woman to climb four peaks above 8000 meters.

She came to limelight when her wedding photos at K2 Base Camp in 2018 went viral on social media.
