CROSSBAR. A forest fire broke out on Monday around 5 pm on the heights of Traversella, in the Roncole region, half an hour’s walk from the town.
The Aib (Forest Fire) teams of Valchiusella were involved in extinguishing the fire which, due to dry soil, threatened to extend over an even wider area.
The fire was extinguished after about three hours, around 8pm.
