Treviso, the prestigious European qualification “Qep” to the photographer Arcangelo Piai

The Treviso photographer has his studio in Susegana and specializes in landscape and industrial photography

TREVISO. Arcangelo Piai, professional photographer since 1989 and CNA member, has been awarded the QEP (Qualified European Photographer) qualification for industrial photography. «When they ask me which is the field of photography that I prefer, I always answer and without hesitation:« Work. I like to document work. – Piai says -. I like to go into factories or construction sites where dust, noise and fatigue abound. It is here, in these places, that I love to be, where something is produced, and where my curiosity and desire to know finds great satisfaction. I live off industrial photography and landscape photography is what I wanted to do in life and I feel lucky for this ».

The prestigious QEP professional photographic excellence award, recognized throughout Europe, was established in 1999 by the Federation of European Photographers (Fep), which brings together national associations of professional photographers at European level.

The qualification was awarded after two years of detention by the Federation, which resumed its activity in Tampere, Finland, during the last weekend of November. An important and highly anticipated event that saw the participation of many photographers from all over Europe. Many panels were presented, in different sectors, with great satisfaction for those who passed the evaluation, showing great humility and willingness to get involved, sharing personal work with many other photographers from all over Europe.

The Diploma of merit and qualification will be awarded during one of the two evenings dedicated to the event for the Photographic World Cup (WPC) to be held in Rome at the end of March. Piai was also a finalist of the WPC Italy 2022 in the “commercial” section.

Arcangelo Piai, who has his studio in Susegana in via Nazionale 46, he chose to specialize in landscape and industrial photography. Numerous shots of him have been used as symbolic images of the UNESCO Conegliano-Valdobbiadene hills in various information and promotional campaigns carried out by institutions and consortia in recent years. Arcangelo Piai was spokesperson for CNA Fotografi Treviso for several terms.
