Turin book fair, success for Sardinian publishers: +60 percent of sales

Satisfaction with the Association of publishers present with 30 houses

CAGLIARI. A 60% increase in sales compared to the previous edition in October 2021 and the general appreciation for the great work done. This is the balance sheet of the Sardinian Publishers Association at the recently concluded International Book Fair in Turin. Full satisfaction for the expedition of the publishers who gathered under the banner of AES in the collective space for the sale of Sardinian books at the Lingotto.

«It is an excellent result that rewards our initiative – explains the president of the Association, Simonetta Castia – just seven months after the previous edition of the Salone. The increase of more than half of the books sold compared to 2021 underlines that our idea of being present at the largest European exhibition-market was the right one ».

On the strength of this result, the path is now clear for AES: “Publishers must be given the historic coordinating role, as happens in other territories, to create the best conditions for the growth of the sector in synergy with the Region, thus investing funds for publishing at best ”, concludes the president.

The Association’s expedition to Turin collected two thousand titles from 30 publishing houses from all over the island: Abbà, Aipsa, Alfa, Southern Archives, Arkadia, Carlo Delfino, Catartica, Condaghes, Edes, Ediuni, Edizioni della Torre, Enrico Spanu , Signpost, GC Edizioni, Gia, Graphic by Parteolla, Ilisso, Imago Multimedia, Il Maestrale, Iskra Edizioni, Janus Editore, La Zattera, Maxottantotto, Mediando, NOR, Paolo Sorba, Papiros, PTM, Soter, Taphros.
