Two brothers – a 25-year-old boy living in Valenzano and a 28-year-old girl living in Bari – died and two of their peers were injured in a road accident that took place overnight on the provincial road between Castellana Grotte and Turi in the province of Bari. The accident occurred around 3 am. The car in which the four young people were traveling, a BMW S1, would have gone off the road breaking down the guardrail, bumping into an olive tree and overturning several times.
The two deceased brothers were in the back seat. The other two young people were injured, the friend at the wheel and the passenger next to them, transported to the hospital. At a curve the driver, on whom the results of the analyzes on the possible use of alcohol or drugs are expected, would have lost control of the vehicle, which was probably traveling at high speed. The carabinieri, coordinated by the Bari prosecutor’s office, are working on the reconstruction of the accident. The firefighters have also intervened.
